This might be one of the best interviews I’ve read. I love Daryl and he’s a huge influence. Nik from Man Overboard randomly messaged me a while ago and said “your band’s cool. I like the Glassjaw vibe”. We sounded nothing like Glassjaw, so I assume he meant the Daryl vibe, which I don’t try to do but I guess comes through sometimes.
Anyway, I think about Swan Damage once in a while and wonder how it never leaked. Those live YouTube videos are all I could find. This interview really put it all into perspective though. At least we got the Color Film record. I also was bummed House Of Blow only put like 2 songs on MySpace back then and then..nothing. I dug it.
